Leicester DIY SOS

We had the enormous pleasure of being involved in the renovation of the home of a family in need for DIY SOS and the BBC. It was one of the most rewarding and fun experiences we’ve ever had.

The pictures show the enjoyment and camaraderie of all invlolved.

Hemington renovation

For this project we were tasked with building a new brickwork outer skin to the house from the existing foundations as well as a side extension in 50mm bricks in a old style flemish bond. This included insulating the cavity to the existing ground floor block work and forming new openings to the structure.

We have now been asked by the client to continue the job and complete the renovation.

Anstey renovation

The client had a stressful experience with a previous builder and asked us to take over the project. The project included a single storey rear extension and double storey side extension. We carried out all groundworks, drainage, superstructure build, roofing works, extensive structrual alterations and internal wall alterations.

The customer remarked on how stress-free the experience was and how impressed they were with the quality.

Coventry extension

For this project with built a single storey rear and smalle single storey side extension to an existing rear projecting building.

Included in the works was excavation and construction of a raft foundation, construction of blockwork and render superstructure, installation of warm deck flat EPDM roof and extending of the existing pitched roof to the side and knock-through of both the side and rear.

Rearsby extension

Part of our business is helping other builders which is what we did here, we came and constructed the brickwork and blockwork for this builder on this read extension including arches, parapet wall with dental cours and plinth brickwork.

Enderby garden wall

We enjoy the smaller works too and garden walls are lovely little projects. The customer had a wall that was not only ugly but literally falling down.

We demolished the existing wall reinforced the existing foundation and built from that a brand new wall in bricks selected by the customer finished with a creasing tile and blue brick coping to the straight and concrete coping to the pillars. We also installed an off the shel wrought iron gate.
